A note from JTG
I’ve been doing this for 30 years. From large-scale Japanese work to abstract and ornamental blackwork, smaller collector pieces and personal mementos.
Over the years, I’ve tattooed thousands of people all around the world.
I approach tattooing as an artist. Instinct, expression, and discovery are part of how I work. A piece may begin loosely sketched and blocked in, with decisions developing as I work on the body. I often don’t plan every detail in advance.
My way of working isn’t for everyone. If you need every detail resolved before we start, my approach may not be the right fit for you.
Working together requires trust from both of us. I think of it as agreeing to go on a journey together, we want to make sure we’ll be good travel partners.
Large projects require time, multiple sessions, healing between appointments, and commitment. The consultation gives us a chance to discuss my process, your expectations, desires, and the commitment involved.
